New Moon 3-17-08

Today I started to read the second book in a new series that I just started reading Friday and have totally fallen in love with already. I mean come on it took me less then 24 hours to read the first one and it’s not exactly short. But in this one Bella and Edward are still together and it turns out to be Bella’s birthday, and she hates it. She has officially turned 18 and is older then Edward will ever be (considering that he is a vampire and cannot age). Bella wants Edward to change her, but he is dead set against it and refuses to do anything that will change her from human. Reluctantly Bella tries the entire day to avoid any fact that it is her birthday including presents and parties, but is eventually forced to go to one at the Cullens house because Edward and everyone are so excited. After arriving she is brought into the house after trying to convience Edward to give her what she wants, and is greeted to her suprise by the entire Cullens family. Emmet, Rosalie and Jasper all chipped in and bought her a new stereo for her 53′ Chevy and installed it before she could refuse. But as she was opening her present from Edward and Alice she got a paper cut and was attacked by Jasper. Edward threw himself on top of her to protect her, but that only caused her to be cut open by glass. I have yet to find out what’s goin on next.

Today I continued reading Night because I haven’t had time to properly finish it for our class. Elie ended up injuring his foot and had to go to the infermary to operate on it. Shortly after they had heard news that the russians would be there soon to liberate the camp and that those who were in the infermery were to stay while the rest of the camp moved to another camp. When given the desicion to either stay in the infermery with his father while the others left or leaving with everyone else he chose to leave becuase him and his father thought that everyone who stayed would be shot dead. He went back to his block and stocked up on al the clothing that he possibly could and wore it all one on top of the other. Then at nightfall they were all given the orders to form blocks and run. If anyone was found to be slacking behind or anything then the S.S. men were ordered to shoot them dead. After covering 20 kilos in the first night they rested in a tiny deserted town in the middle of no where and Elie went to go lay down in the snow. He didn’t get much rest because his father told him not to fall asleep unless he wanted death. Many people ended up dying that night and were just left for animals as if it didn’t matter at all.

12/17 The Vampire Lestat

Today I continued to read my book The Vampire Chronicles. I’m currently reading the second book, The Vampire Lestat. At this point in the book he has made both Gabrielle and Niki vampires, but Niki is very dark and somber about it and distant from them both. Lestat does not understand this and tries to make him feel alive again by finding his violin and giving it to him to play once again like he had in Renaud’s. The first night he could not find it in Niki’s appartment, but did find Armand there going through all of Niki’s things and soaking up all the knowledge that he possibly could from the time. At first he did not even pay Lestat the least bit of attention, but whenever Lestat went to leave he stopped him and started to question him and make him realize that they were ment to be together. Lestate left and then went back to his fortress where Niki and Gabrielle were already asleep. Armand sent him images of Lestat getting Niki and Gabrielle then and taking them outside for the sun to burn them to death, and Lestat just laughed at him and said that he would never do such a thing. Now Niki has run away to the theatre and is playing the violin that Lestat finally found in their old dressing room.

The Vampire Lestat 12/10/07

Today for reading day I continued to read my book “The Vampire Chronicles Collection”. I’m currently on the second book in that which is The Vampire Lestat. Today in the part that I read Lestat and Gabrielle were returning from Paris to Lestat’s castle whenever the presence blocked their way and started to attack them. They couldn’t go back to Paris because it was only a couple of hours until sunrise and they had to rest, and so they charged forward into it. They soon discovered that it was not only one, but many vampires. They went and quickly locked themselves in the secret chamber and started to make a fire around the barred windows so that the vampires would be forced down off of the tower and back into Paris. Gabrielle was terrified and Lestat knew that they had to find another place to hide because they did not know how early the others would rise. So he carried Gabrielle to a near by villiage into a church and opened an old cript to sleep in for the day. He couldn’t figure out why the red velvet coat looked so remember and then he feel into a deep slumber. I absolutly love this book so far. It’s amazing and I wish that it was real, but who gets what they want reallly. lol

NINJA!!! bahahahahaha…

The Color Purple 11-26-07

Today during reading day since i didn’t have a new book to read because I had finished all of the others, I borrowed a book off of Ms. Dearing named The Color Purple by Alice Walker. I was a little confused in the begining because it wasn’t in proper english and it was like you get thrown right in the middle of a story. You had to read on to figure out what was going on. It’s about this young woman, who from what I can tell is black, who has been molested by her father and has had his baby twice. Both times her father took it away. The first time he killed it, and the second he sold it to a family in the next town. After her mom died she tried to protect her little sister because her dad had started to get is eyes on her, but failed. She was forced to marry a man who already had four children that ran wild and had to take care of them and his house. He was interested in her baby sister as well, but whenever she ran away from home to come live with them he got angry because he could not have her. So she had to leave and was killed in the process. So far she hasn’t stood up for herself in any way and is only trying to stay alive. I hope that everything gets beter for her in the end if i keep on reading. I’m not sure if I wil yet though.

10/29 Magyk [reading day]

Today in class I continued to read my new book by the author Angie Sage called Magyk. So far I have learned only a little of the story. In the begining you are walking with an ordinary wizard by the name of Silias Heap who is walking along in the forest to find some herbs for his wife who is in labor at the time. He then finds a baby girl stranded in the cold snow and decides that he is going to take her home and take care of her. As he sneaks her in he is suprised to see Marcia, the new Extra Ordinary Wizard, who tells him not to tell anyone that they had found her and that she was born to them. Ten years role along and they discover that their little Jenna, the baby that Silias had found, was the queens daughter. They kept her and raised her and tried to keep her safe, but one day a spy had found out that the queenling was living there and told the Custodians. Marcia had to go get Jenna and try to take her to saftey, but there were complications. Silias and Nikio went to go visit Jenna and accidently let the assacian that was after her in. They had to run for their lives and try to get out. So after this I’m not really all that sure about what happens. This is a pretty interesting book, although I much prefer Little Women or Harry Potter, but I look forward to finishing it.

Yepp….

I’m pretty much bored out of my mind at the moment. Just got done finishing my paper for in here. BLAH BLAH BLAH. I do beleive that Ms. Dearing has missed more days of school this year then i have. lol. Is quite funny. I’ma get off here and listen to music now. BB

10-22-07 Nineteen Minutes

Today in class I proceeded with my reading of Jodi Picoult’s latest novel, Nineteen Minutes. I started reading it about a week ago because she is one of my absolute favorite authors and this is the only book of hers that I had not yet read. It’s about a seventeen-year-old kid named Peter Haughten who has been tormented and bullied his entire life because of his soft nature and his unmanlihood. He ultimatly ends up going to school with two handguns, two ruffles, and a car bomb. As the book starts out you only know that the shooting is happening, but none of the real details. That’s how Picoult works. She never lets you know everything and keeps your interest so that you can get that last twist in the plot out in the very last pages of her books. But by the part where I am at, which is only abou twenty pages from the end, you find out all about Josie’s life and Peter’s and how everything magically fits together. I really want to see how this book ends. I think that it has become one of my favorites and I’m going to be quite angry if the ending turns out suckilly. I hate it when books do that. GRRRR.

10/1 The Catcher In The Rye

Well as always, today in Engish class was reading day, and I totally spaced and forgot to bring a book. Since I was that stupid i just borrowed one that was already sittin here on the table. It was called The Catcher In The Rye. I’m not really all that sure what it is about, but from what I read of it it sounds to be as though it’s that story of a young man who is getting kicked out of a private school because of his grades and is about to have some odd events happen. The part that I read of the book today, which I will admit was only like ten pages, was him telling about the school and such. He seems as though he’s a really laid back, country sort of guy. His vocabulary is very unsofisticated, and even though he says that he’s been to four different private schools I don’t really think that he ever really soaked up his education all that well. While the school that he was currently going to was playing thier big football game against some rival team he decided that he would go down to his teacher Mr. Spencer’s house and tell him goodbye before the start of Christmas break since he wasn’t supposed to return after then. He describes everything so oddly and randomly, and he rambles on and on about all sorts of things. But where I stopped he seemed to be having a conversation with Mr. Spencer and talking about how he is leaving and why. I would like to continue this book. I don’t know why, but it seems intreaging to me for some reason.
